Activities of Indian Red Cross Soceity,
District Branch, Narnaul.
Distt.
Red Cross Society Narnaul is engaged in the field of rendering services to the
society under the guidence of Deputy Commissioner, Mahendragarh at Narnaul. The
detail of the activities undertaken by the Society are as below:-
1. Artificial
Aids/Appliances:- The society
is running a workshop to supply artificial aids & appliances to the
physically handicapped persons we are providing braces, artificial limbs,
callipers, surgical shoes etc. to the needy person on free of cost basis.
a. In
the year 1998 we have distributed articals to 73 persons.
b. In
the year 1999 we have distributed articals to 109 persons.
c. We
have also supplied tricycles free of costs to the physically handicapped
persons:
a. In
the year 1998 total 261 tricycles were distributed.
b. In
the year 1999 total 119 tricycles has been distributed.
2. Physiotherapy
Centre:- The society has started a physiotherapy centre in the General
Hospital Narnaul with the modern machines so that maximum number of people can
be benefitted. In the year 1998 a total 1646 people visited the centre & in
the present year a total of 3554 persons have visited the centre & get
benefitted. On an average daily 22 new patients are visiting centre.
3. X-Ray
Facility :- The society has made arrangement for supplying X-Ray films to
the patients much below the market rates as per details below:-
a. At
General Hospital, Narnaul @ Rs.50/- per X-Ray.
b. At
T.B.Hospital, Narnaul @ Rs.40/- per X-Ray.
c. At
C.H.C., Mahendragarh, @ Rs.50/- per X-Ray.
4. Financial/Material
help:- The society has helped No. of peoples in the following ways:-

5. Blood
Donation Camp :- The Society organises voluntary blood donation camps for
collecting pure & virus free blood to be supplied/replaced to the needy
persons & for Medical College Rohtak.
In
the year 1998 we organised 6 camps & collected 816 units. In 1999 we have
organised 3 camps & collected 120 units of blood.
6. Urban
Family Welfare Centre :- The society is running a family welfare centre at
C.H.C., Mahendragarh.The main objective of the centre is to teach people about
the values of immunisation & small family and also convience them to adopt
family planning methods.

7. Craft
& Tailoring Centre :- A Craft & Tailoring Centre has been set up in
the village Ateli where at present 35 Girls & Women are learning Tailoring
& Craft Work. The craft teacher conducts a monthly meeting with the village
women to teach them about the benefits of small family.
8. Ambulance
:- The society is having two
ambulances, one is stationed at C.H.C., Mahendragarh & the other at General
Hospital, Narnaul to shift the serious patients to Delhi, Jaipur & Rohtak.
These ambulances also performs V.I.P.duties.
9. First
Aid & Home Nursing Training :- Through St.Johns Ambulance Association
First Aid & Home Nursing Training is parted to the students at school level
& also in the Red Cross Campus for conductor Classes. The detail is as
below :-

10. Form
Centre :- The society has made
arrangements for the supply of necessary forms, stamps & tickets at the
District Court, Narnaul & SDM Courts Mahendragarh Compound so that general
people can get maximum benefits.
11. Lamination
:- The society is providing
Registration and Driving licences cards at SDM office, Narnaul &
Mahendragarh. We have also made arrangements for laminating these cards.
12. Free
Polio Surgery Camp :- In the year 1999 the society has organise a free
Polio Surgery Camp in which 158 persons were treated as O.P.D.. Out of which 38
patients were provided diffirent types of surgery. The camp was organise on the
basis of free medicine & food for the inpatients. So in this way for the 38
patients operated a total amount of Rs.106042/- was spent for their medical
bills & diets.
13. Eye
Camp :- In the year 1998 the
society organise an Eye Camp in which 114 people were treated as O.P.D. out of
which 72 persons were operated.
14. S.T.D.P.C.O.
:- For the convenience of public in
general, the society is running a STD PCO booth at Bus Stand Narnaul. The aim
of the booth is to provide fair facility to the public.
